Created to serve the greater Washington area's Indian-American community over
20 years ago,
Darshan has grown into the must-view weekly show for one of the region's fastest growing and most affluent demographics. The show has also gained a stellar reputation amongst the region's business and community leaders.
The hour-long show is produced by Hansa Butani. It airs from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturdays
on MHz Networks (click here to find MHz on your television service provider), and features conversations with Washington's political, business, community and cultural movers and shakers. Also featured are local and international artists, local event coverage, a community calendar, and other items of interest.
The flagship portion of the show is "In Conversation," hosted by Ramesh Butani, president and founder of HRGM, one of Washington's leading construction services groups. Each week,
Ramesh and his co-host discuss the hot topics of the week, emerging trends and technologies, as well as interviews with prominent business and community leaders.
Additional segments include
Morning Blend, a
segment created for the first generation Indian-Americans (between the ages 24
to 35). This segment delves into the latest news, issues and discussion from
their perspective.
